simply boredness~~

A physicist, a biologist and a mathematician are sitting in a street cafe watching people entering and leaving the house on the other side of the street. First they see two people entering the house. Time passes. After a while they notice three people leaving the house. The physicist says, "The measurement wasn't accurate." The biologist says, "They must have reproduced." The mathematician says, "If one more person enters the house then it will be empty."

Premise I: Knowledge is power.
Premise II: Power corrupts.
Conclusion: Therefore, knowledge corrupts.

Women are the product of time and money: \text{women} = \text{time} \times \text{money}
Time is money: time = money
So women are money squared: women = money2
Money is the root of all evil: \text{money} = \sqrt{\text{evil}}
So women are evil: \text{women} = (\sqrt{\text{evil}}\,)^2 = \text{evil}

Why is 6 afraid of 7?
Because 7 8 9. (a pun on "7 ate 9")

Bookies^^

Hello again guys..
this time I'd like to intro some interesting books that I've recently bought..^^

these were the few tht i bought..XDXD.. spent about RM100 there:

The Five People You Meet in Heaven - Mitch Albom
The Game- Neil Strauss
Midnight's Children- Salman Rushdie
wanted to buy Tuesdays with Morrie- Mitch Albom too but had to restrict myself due to the approaching exams..luckily Thiniseh has em' so I'll be getting it from him..^^

Ever heard of "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" - Mitch Albom. If you have, isn't tht book amazing?? ^^( It's not that the others aren't.. it's simply because I've already started reading this and it came highly recommended by my Singaporean friend, Jeremy)

basically the story is about the life and death of a simple yet dignified old man, Eddie. After dying in a freak accident, he finds himself in heaven (in this book, heaven is simply described as a personal journey) where he encounters five people who have significantly affected his life and they are there "appointed" to teach one lesson and, in turn, allowing him to discover his true meaning and purpose in life.

these are some very meaningful quotes frm the book:

"Fairness doesn't govern life and death. For if it did, no good man would ever die young."

Nick would definitely love this..XDXD "All parents damage their children. It cannot be helped."

"Each affects the other and the other affects the next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all one."

these are the links relating to the books above..^^:

ciao~~~(^.^,)

Me Again?!

Ok. I got things to talk about!

1. Not very recently I got a bit home- and friend-sick, and so I took this picture and used it as my phone wallpaper! I really like this photo lor Nick, it's like "Wah, happy times!"

(Maybe plus "Wah, not-so-fat times!" also lah.)

2. Last week, I learned how to sit like the meditation gurus! Like so. (View below picture)

See how twisted my feet look? Kids, please don't try this at home! And forgive the horrible pout of my lips... Doing a pose like this required very intense concentration!

3. On the 16th of February we celebrated Fasnacht here in Germany... Weeks before that we started buying cookies/biscuits which look like this from the supermarkets. They're so delicious I tell you! Like very light japanese cookies you can get from Baker's Cottage but a lot a lot lighter lah.

Hao Zi says her school teacher says that this biscuit is made from only oil and flour with the following recipe:

==> Boil oil, pour in flour.
==> Flour puffs up.
==> Tada! Fasnachtschuechli.

So disgusting right! But it's actually very yummy. Got icing sugar all over it!

We actually went to watch the 2-hour long parade in the city centre and Hao Zi's mom took so many photos the battery died but when they got home the photos had somehow disappeared (creepy!) so I don't have first hand shots. What I do have are these:

Taken from Google. Yes, they really dress up like this and parade all around the city while throwing sweets for the people. For some reason most of their costumes have funny scales/feathers on them... Couldn't find the reason for this on Wiki.

4. This was taken the day Sylvia and Hao Zi went to Belgium for a competition. I met them for breakfast at McD's at the train station before they left.

Tada! Breakfast for four. The girl at the counter was like O.o "Whoa!" when I went to order.

5. The people here in Freiburg quite frequently gather for demonstrations like these:

Which is really quite annoying because they interrupt all the public transport to the city centre and create so much noise. But! There are always these handsome people:

To maintain order! They are so so so handsome lah. All of them! Maybe it's their uniform or maybe it's just the aura. A bit like Pn Teo's aura lor.

6. One day when I had an exam in uni, the public transport people decided to go on strike for one whole day. Consequently, I had to walk one and a half hours to uni... And then another one and a half back! Annoying lah these people always on strike for one thing or another.

***

Ok exhausted my random topics edi.

My mom is arriving in Freiburg next Tuesday! And dad is arriving on the 3rd of April! Then they'll both stay till my birthday and then only leave after that. Wuahaha I'm such a princess. We get to go sightseeing all over Europe also! Got to plan our itinerary now.

Woohoo life is good. =)

Rusty

I dunno where's everybody BUT i'm guessing you guys are still around here, there, somewhere just too lazy to post up stuff... hmph!!!

Thanks Jonathan, our latest member for posting, sadly i noticed Shanggar has left Rojaklah.
Perhaps he's too busy chasing OTHER STUFF...
and NO Shanggar, don't ever feel left out... it's just not like you to not fit in
You're always welcomed to post comments & blog within the comment box ;)

Anyways, took part in a mock debate yesterday during training (after almost two years not going anywhere near debate) made me realize how rusty & sucky i was.
But it was awesome to experience the nervousness before going up to speak and the thrill of nailing your opponents down all over again... How it brings back memories of the 'lepaking' and hair ripping moments before & after a debate competition.

I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!

When the trainer asked if i was a debater in high school cause i had the tendency to turn and refer to the motion on the board, it made me recall that embrassing moment during one of the competitions -When I turned to the board to read out the motion only to realize... SHIT!!!
the organizers didn't put up the motion. My head went blank trying to recall what exactly it was.
I can still clearly remember the moment of silence at that point of time which seemed to continue for ages
... Haha, nick & atreyi would know better

Well, I don't know if i'll go as far as you did Sarah but yea.. I'll always miss & love debate :)
Hope for a chance to do it with you guys one day.
